David Wolber, Artistic Director
David became the Artistic Director at Performance Network Theatre in 2007.Ê At the Network, he directed The War Since Eve (Best New Script - Wilde Award), Sonia Flew (a co-production with the Jewish Ensemble Theatre), Christmas Carol'd, The Blonde, The Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead (Best Local Play - AnnArbor.com 2009), Exits and Entrances, Souvenir (co-director in a co-production with Boarshead Theatre), The Clean House, A Doll's House, Language Lessons (Best New Play - Ann Arbor News 2007), The Stillness Between Breaths (Best New Play - Oakland Press), Necessary Targets by Eve Ensler, The White Rose and more. As an actor, David has performed at the Network in Retreat From Moscow, A Life in the Theatre, Take Me Out, The Home Team (Favorite Male Performer-Comedy - Wilde Award), The Spirit House, The Maiden's Prayer and Three Days of Rain (Best Actor - Ann Arbor News, Best Ensemble Awards - Oakland Press) among others, as well as A Streetcar Named Desire (Outstanding Ensemble Performance - Oakland Press) for Chimera. He has performed with the JET, Detroit Repertory Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. David is a member of Actors Equity Association and Americans for the Arts, and has served on several committees for The Arts Alliance of Washtenaw County, the National New Play Network, the Cultural Alliance of Southeast Michigan and the Michigan Equity Theatre Alliance.
Christina Mooney, Development Director
Christina Mooney has more than 20 years of in-depth nonprofit arts experience, particularly in the areas of development and marketing. Through her consulting business, North Star Marketing, she provided effective grant research and writing, feature writing and marketing planning services to a variety of nonprofit clients. Prior to that, she served for 18 years as the Marketing Director for the Flint Institute of Music, a performing arts organization that includes the Flint Symphony Orchestra, Flint School of Performing Arts and Flint Youth Theatre. During her tenure, she developed a strategic and comprehensiveÊprogram that included print collateral, web, social media, public relations, broadcast and print advertising. She has received several Addy awards for her promotional campaign development and newsletters.
Chelsea Sadler, Marketing Director
Chelsea first joined Performance Network as an apprentice in 2006 after graduating from Albion College where she received a BA in theatre, with a minor in psychology. She was bitten by the theatre bug in sixth grade during a school production of Annie. Here at the Network, Chelsea has been seen in Christmas Carol'd, The Little Dog Laughed (Wilde Award - Best Play with LGBT Themes or Characters), Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh, four Fireside Festivals, countless readings and has directed both a Children's musical and a Mosh Pit production. Other directing and acting credits include Trinity House Theatre, Boxfest, Breathe Art Theatre Project, Michigan Theatre Festival, Blackbird Theatre, Play-by-Play, U of M's Once Festival and the Residential College. Chelsea enjoys supporting the Michigan theatre community, traveling on a shoe string and Earl Grey tea.
Ed Weingart, Technical Director
Ed has a BFA in Sound Design and a MFA in Technical Direction from The University of Connecticut. He served in the 102d Army Band as the sound engineer and as a musician. He was also the Audio Master and resident Sound Designer at Eastern Connecticut State University where he designed Our Lady of 121st Street, Ondine, Oklahoma, and others. At Uconn he designed the sound for Stop Kiss, Prudence, Macbeth, Restoration Comedy, Loves Labours Lost, and Galileo. He also served as the Technical Director for The Connecticut Repertory Theater's productions of Spring Awakening, Icarus, The Exonerated, Tommy, and A Flea in her Ear. For the past two years he has been the Executive Technical Director at the Tri-Arts Sharon Playhouse where he was the TD for
The Wedding Singer, The 25 Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Oklahoma, 42nd Street and Rent. Ed is excited to join the PNT family and their tradition of thought provoking theater. He lives in East Lansing with his wife Jillian and their English Shepherd Kina.
Becky Fox, Children's Theatre Director
Becky has been the director of CTN since 1991, and continues because there is nothing like an audience full of children. She graduated from EMU with a degree in theatre a long time ago, did summer stock and dinner theatre until marrying a restaurant owner (The Full House in Ypsilanti). She and her husband have a darling daughter and are always busy.
Dave Wells, Business Manager
Dave has managed offices for a number of locally owned businesses and start-ups including Terre Clinical Research, LegalEase Solutions, and The Lice Brigade. He studied playwriting and film at the University of Michigan, and has had his work produced in Los Angeles and San Diego.
Courtney Conger, Apprentice
Courtney comes to us from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia where she served as the Assistant Box Office Manager of the Virginia Stage Company and the Stage Management Coordinator of Regent University's Main Stage Theatre. She holds a Master of Arts in Theatre Studies from Regent, where her main concentration was stage management. She has also worked for The New Theatre of Chesapeake and The Santa Fe Opera. Most recently, Courtney attended the New York International Fringe Festival with The Drifting Theatre of Tennessee as Production Manager for the company's new work, The Disorientation of Butterflies. Favorite stage management credits include Little Women, Oklahoma!, and Songs for a New World. Courtney thanks her Dad, Sarah Ann, and Chad for their constant support and encouragement.
Sydni Norris, Apprentice
Prior to joining our team, Sydni worked at the Opera Saratoga in upstate New York as a Wardrobe Assistant during their summer program. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre. A few productions that she has worked on are Gory Stories, Blur in the Rear-view Mirror, Pajama Game, Blues for an Alabama Sky and The Seagull. Her main focus of study was backstage theatre with emphasis on sound, wardrobe and make-up. Sydni is looking forward to leadership positions and experiencing multiple job assignment opportunities such as House Managing, Box office, Tech, Assistant Stage Managing and much more during her apprenticeship at Performance Network.
Logan Ricket, Apprentice
Logan recently graduated from Alma College with a BA in theatre. He has also recently appeared in Tipping Point Theatre's Sandbox festival and the Raw Festival in Detroit. He would like to thank his family for their support, Joe for giving him so much, and Performance Network for providing him with this amazing opportunity. Play on!
